Theresa May, the Home Secretary, has launched an initiative to address workplace inequality between men and women through a voluntary reporting scheme called Think, Act, Report.
The Government wants employers to commit to voluntary reporting on areas such as the number of female board members they have and progress on equalising the gender pay gap. The new framework aims to encourage and support organisations to take a simple step-by-step journey to improve gender equality in their organisations. The Government wants organisations to start by undertaking their own analysis of these issues, where necessary to take action to address them, and in time report on gender equality in their organisation.
