Maternity, paternity and adoption pay increases from April

Details of the Schedule of proposed benefit rates from April 2013 have been published

Details of the Schedule of proposed benefit rates from April 2013 have been published on the Parliament website which includes the proposed increases to various employment related payments and thresholds.

Under the proposed schedule, the standard rates of statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay will increase from £135.45 to £136.78 per week from April 2013. Statutory sick pay will increase from £85.85 to £86.70 per week from April 2013. Other increases to statutory rates in April 2013 include the national insurance lower earnings limit, which increases from £107 to £109, and the basic state pension, which increases from £107.45 to £110.15.
