In its last debate on 23 and 24 April 2013, before the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform legislation received Royal Assent, the House of Commons, following House of Lords’ amendments, agreed to abolish the Agricultural Wages Board, leave the general duty and powers of the Equality and Human Rights Commission as they stand under S.3 of the Equality Act 2006 and amend the Equality Act 2010 so that the Government must outlaw caste discrimination (see below).
