Issue 247 – May 2025: Topics Open for Pitching

We are now commissioning articles for Issue 247, which will focus on the following themes:

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

The M&A landscape in 2025 is predicted to see a surge as businesses, under pressure from slow economic growth and market uncertainty, seek new opportunities for scale and profit. Explore the challenges of M&As, including cultural clashes, HR’s role in navigating disruption, and how AI and technology are influencing decision-making. Articles should focus on how companies are pursuing more disruptive, strategic alliances to drive growth despite the high failure rate of M&As.

Productivity in the Hybrid Era

Productivity is now a focal point in the evolving world of work, particularly in hybrid and remote environments. Articles should explore the paradox of hybrid work, employee productivity concerns, and the impact of hybrid work on employee trust and mental health. The debate over whether hybrid work enhances or hampers productivity continues, and we seek fresh insights on how businesses can balance flexibility with performance metrics.

Onboarding in a Hybrid World

As hybrid work continues to shape recruitment strategies, many HR leaders believe their organizations need to do more to effectively attract, recruit, and onboard talent in a remote-first world. This issue will explore the challenges of remote onboarding, the role of AI in streamlining the process, and the importance of maintaining human connection in onboarding experiences to prevent talent loss and dissatisfaction.

Purpose Redefined: Aligning Values with Compensation

The “Great Resignation” may not have been just about work-life balance but also about the quest for fair compensation. In this issue, we delve into the evolving definition of purpose in the workplace and how employees seek both meaningful work and competitive salaries. Explore how businesses can align organizational values with fair remuneration and how the next generation of talent evaluates potential employers beyond just salary and benefits.

Submission Deadline: February 12, 2025

If you are interested in contributing to Issue 247 – May 2025, please submit your article pitch by February 12th, 2025.
