The Cabinet Office have published a report providing a summary of the main findings from the first release of data from the Race Disparity Audit. Page 10 provides an overview of the disparities in employment (the in-depth review starts at page 25). The key findings are that around 1 in 10 adults from a Black, Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Mixed background were unemployed compared with 1 in 25 White British people and people from Pakistani and Bangladeshi backgrounds are more likely to be in low skilled, low paying occupations than other ethnic groups. Page 12 provides an overview of disparities in the public sector workforce (in-depth review starts at page 51). The Government have also set up an ethnicity facts and figures service website which can be used to find information about the different experiences of people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
