The Ministry of Justice has published Quarterly Statistics, July to September 2017, (along with supporting documents), which give the first indication of the situation after ET fees were abolished in July 2017. Single ET claims in this quarter increased by 64%, while multiple ET claims decreased by 15%, but the multiple claims caseload outstanding increased by 42%. The most common jurisdictional complaint was unauthorised deductions from wages with 549 claims in July 2017 (during which fees were abolished), which then rose to 2,926 in August, and 2,027 in September. Unfair dismissal claims rose from 836 in July 2017 to 1,915 in August and 1,594 in September.
