Government announces increases to statutory payments in April 2020

The Department for Work and Pensions has published a paper setting out proposed increases to statutory payments which will apply from April 2020. Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Statutory Adoption Pay, Statutory Shared Parental Pay and Maternity Allowance will all increase from £148.68 to £151.20 per week

The Department for Work and Pensions has published a paper setting out proposed increases to statutory payments which will apply from April 2020. Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Statutory Adoption Pay, Statutory Shared Parental Pay and Maternity Allowance will all increase from £148.68 to £151.20 per week. Statutory Sick Pay will increase from £94.25 to £95.85 per week. The weekly lower earnings limit threshold below which there is no entitlement to SMP, SPP, SAP, SSPP and SSP will be confirmed at a later date.
