KFC has once again been recognised as one of the best workplaces in the UK at this year’s Great Place to Work Best Workplaces Programme, ranking 18th in the Large Employer category. This follows hot on the heels of being awarded first place in the Britain's Top Employer rankings for the second year in a row, something no other company has ever achieved.
Great Place To Work recognised KFC for the fun and friendly culture, strong team work and collaborative environment and for the vast range of learning, development and education opportunities open to employees. A Great Place to Work is defined as being a place where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with. Organisations who take part in the Best Workplaces Programme are evaluated using a unique methodology, which combines results from an employee survey and management survey, with the experience of employees being the most important element of the evaluation, accounting for two-thirds of the total score.
James Watts, Vice President Human Resources, KFC UK & Ireland, said: “We’re very proud to have been named a Great Place to Work again as it highlights the emphasis we put on creating an enjoyable working experience at KFC. Trust and pride are central to our philosophy and key to creating a happy and successful environment. “We are striving to become the best company in the UK for our workplace culture, and to be famous as THE great place to work. Winning this award again will encourage and motivate us to keep reaching for this goal.”
