For 3rd time, Goodyear Dunlop certified ‘Top Employer’ in 2015

Goodyear Dunlop recognised with ‘Top Employer Europe’ Award for third consecutive year. Goodyear Dunlop certified as a top performer in HR in nine countries: Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the United Kingdom.

For the third consecutive year Goodyear Dunlop Tyres Europe, one of Europe’s leading tyre manufacturers, has been recognised with the ‘Top Employer Europe’ Award 2015 by the renowned Top Employers Institute. The independent organisation certifies companies that “create excellence in the conditions for their people”. Goodyear received the prestigious certification in nine European countries: Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and the UK. For the first time, Goodyear country organisations in Turkey, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates have also been certified as ‘Top Employers’. Goodyear is one of only 27 companies to receive the accreditation as a Top Employer Europe this year.

The focus of the Institute’s research is closely aligned to Goodyear’s Top Talent and Team philosophy and the corporation’s common goal to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best team of associates. The audit covers key areas of HR policy to select the companies that are awarded their certification, including talent strategy, performance management, career and succession management, learning and development as well as compensation and benefits and company culture.

Rachel Ridgill, Human Resources Director, Goodyear Dunlop UK & Ireland, said: “Being certified as ‘Top Employer UK’ for the third consecutive year by such a well know independent institute is an excellent reward for our company’s first-rate Human Resource efforts and achievements across the region.  We value the award as recognition of our continued commitment to providing an outstanding working environment throughout the organisation, which attracts and retains highly motivated, engaged and skilled associates. In today’s challenging economic environment we can only innovate, manufacture and market the industry’s best brands, products and solutions if we have the best people on board.”

Headquartered in the Netherlands, the Institute has recognised Top Employers around the world since 1991. Judith Oude Sogtoen, Director of International Business Development for the Top Employers Institute: “Our extensive research concluded that Goodyear Europe forms part of a select group of employers that advance employee conditions worldwide. Now that they have received the Top Employers Europe 2015 certification, they can truly consider themselves at the top of an exclusive group of the world’s best employers.  Reason to celebrate!”

Goodyear is one of the world’s largest tyre companies. It employs about 68,000 people and manufactures products in 50 facilities in 22 countries around the world.  Its two Innovation Centers in Akron, Ohio and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg strive to develop state-of-the-art products and services that set the technology and performance standards for the industry.
