National pensions consultancy, LEBC Group (LEBC) fully supports the free data standard initiative being driven by Pensions BIB.
Operating under the working title Project PAPDIS (Pensions and Payroll Data Interface Standard), their objective is to achieve industry wide collaboration to help employers meet their pensions auto-enrolment duties through easy translation of information into existing systems and with all parties involved. Glynn Jones, Divisional Director at LEBC says, “Auto-enrolment is complex enough for employers and anything that can be achieved to simplify the data transfer process has to be beneficial. As one of the leading online auto-enrolment providers we will certainly be giving our views to the project team to support them in moving this important project along quickly.
“In addition to transferring data efficiently and simply, other problems employers are also encountering with auto-enrolment are lack of time they’ve given to getting their plans and systems in place, identifying clearly internal responsibility plus under-estimating the actual amount of work required, and ensuring employee member communication is out on time and suitably personalised remembering employers cannot change the order or content as they have been set by The Pensions Regulator.”
