HR Technologies UK, the country’s only tech-focused HR event, is back! Now in its third year, the show will be held on the 23rd and 24th of April 2025 at ExCeL London. Once again, the event will deliver an immersive and comprehensive experience for HR & talent professionals, bringing the industry under one roof to address the most important topics within the landscape.

Over 75 workplace technology businesses are confirmed to be exhibiting at the event, including major industry players such as Oracle, UKG, Workday  and Sage. HR Technologies UK will showcase a diverse range of cutting-edge solutions and services serving the sector. Attendees can expect a dynamic exhibition floor, interactive demonstrations, and unparalleled networking opportunities.

“What you get from being here at HR Technologies UK is a real sense of how fast things are changing in the HR landscape,” says Christine Armstrong, who will be returning to chair the Keynote Theatre for the third time this year, “and an understanding that keeping up with this is hard. Here,” she continues, “you get to see firsthand all the latest trends and technologies, surrounded by people actively thinking about them and eager to learn. It’s a fantastic opportunity for knowledge sharing and inspiration.”

The Six Focus Areas of HR Technologies UK’s Six Theatres

Digital Acceleration & Emerging Technology

The 2024 show’s research report, titled Adopting HR Technologies – An Organisational Imperative, revealed that 80.4& of HR decision makers expressed a likelihood of adopting AI specifically for talent acquisition processes, showcasing a significant shift in attitudes toward AI within the industry.

Corporate Health & Wellbeing

The event will also showcase strategies and solutions for fostering a thriving and supportive workplace culture. Among those speaking will be Joelie Brearley, Founder & CEO of Pregnant Then Screwed, an expert on how companies can best serve the parents in their business.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition and Talent & People Success

For those looking to attract and retain top talent, these two themes will uncover innovative approaches. Hiring strategies are shifting rapidly across the working world, fuelled by skill shortages and a proliferation of AI in job applications. Not only this, but talent retention strategies need to be bolstered to keep those top performers amidst a challenging labour market.

Human Capital

HR transformation is a vital process not to be ignored or sidelined. It is, however, a complex and long process, requiring a great deal of time investment. HR Technologies UK’s Human Capital theme will help attendees maximise the value of their workforce through strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.

Change Leadership & Management

The recent landscape of the people function has been changing rapidly, from a scaling back of DEI initiatives to a shifting into Skill-Based Hiring. With this in mind, Change Management is going to be one of the most important focus areas for any HR department in 2025, earning it a spot among HR Technologies UK’s core themes.

“I would absolutely recommend HR Technologies UK,” noted Rhys Davies, Head of Reward & HR Systems at BPP Holdings. “It was perfect for getting up to speed on the latest HR trends and technologies. Listening to the speakers share their experiences was highly worthwhile. It’s definitely one of the best events I’ve attended for staying informed in this ever-changing field.”

The Start-Up Zone & Start-Up Showdown

Following the success of its 2023 & 2024 editions, the Start-Up Zone will be returning alongside the Start-Up Showdown competition. Bill Boorman, industry thought leader, will be hosting the competition and judging alongside a new panel of experts.

Last year’s competition was won by Inploi, a platform committed to delivering engaging, authentic, and personalised candidate experiences. Their prize included a full stand at this year’s event, so they’ll certainly be one to look out for.

One new change this year is that the Start-Up Zone will be shared with Learning Technologies, as opposed to being two separate areas as has previously been the case.

Co-located with Learning Technologies

HR Technologies UK will be co-located once again with Learning Technologies, Europe’s leading workplace learning event held by CloserStill Media. In 2024, it welcomed over 11,000 attendees, more than 200 exhibitors, and hosted 200+ free L&D seminars. The events are interlinked, with visitors at HR Technologies UK also gaining direct access to Learning Technologies.

The events are more interlinked than ever, introducing the new Middle Section. Here, businesses can be found that offer solutions and services that span both learning and the wider HR function.

HR Technologies France

HR Technologies UK takes place three months after its sister event, HR Technologies France, which took place in Paris on the 29th & 30th of January 2025. The event was well-received by all involved, welcoming more visitors and exhibitors than ever before. The event was similarly co-located with Learning Technologies France, which also experienced a record-breaking show.

“What a pleasure,” said one visitor, “to discover the latest innovations at HR Technologies France! Beyond the tools, which increasingly integrate AI to enhance process automation, it was the inspiring discussions and encounters that left the biggest impression on me.”

Another pointed to the blend of a human-centred show focused on technology, calling it a “uniquely powerful show that blends emotional intelligence with artificial intelligence, offering a wide range of tools and conferences. Its free access makes it a must-attend event!”

CloserStill Media

HR Technologies UK and Learning Technologies are organised by Closerstill Media, a global leader in corporate events. Under their considerable umbrella of events are industry leading conferences & exhibitions in technology, healthcare and veterinary services. These events take place all across the world including the US, France, Singapore, Germany and Spain.

Nicki Morris, Group Exhibition Director at HR Technologies, said: “This year, we’re working to deliver our most impactful event yet. We’re incredibly excited to deepen our collaboration with Learning Technologies, creating a unified experience for attendees to explore the interconnected worlds of HR and learning. This year’s event will showcase the latest and greatest in HR technology, and we’re set to welcome even more key industry players to the ExCeL between now and April.”
