Acas Early Conciliation website opens up

After publishing a leaflet explaining how the new pre-tribunal claim Early Conciliation (EC) scheme will work (see our News Update – 4 April), Acas have now opened up a specific EC section on their website, following the introduction of the scheme from 6 April 2014.

Transitional provisions apply up until 6 May after which EC will be mandatory. The website provides links to all associated pieces of information, highlights the benefits of EC and explains the type of issues EC has been designed to help resolve. Most importantly the website provides a link to the Early Conciliation notification form for use by potential claimants, and this part of the website also provides further information for employers and representatives of claimants.
