The BIS has announced that Anne Sharp will be the new Chief Executive of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas). Ms Sharp will take up her role in January 2013 and will replace current Chief Executive John Taylor who has been in post since 2001. Anne Sharp has worked in the Health and Safety Executive, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and will be joining Acas from the Judicial Offices, where she has been the Chief Executive Officer since 2009.
