ET president issues Practice Direction on presenting claims

The President of Employment Tribunals, England and Wales has published

The President of Employment Tribunals, England and Wales has published a Practice Direction setting out the methods by which a completed ET1 may be presented from 29 July 2013. A summary of the three methods is set out below.

1.   Online by using the online form submission service provided by Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service, accessible at www.employmenttribunals.service.gov.uk.

2.   By post to: Employment Tribunal Central Office (England & Wales), PO Box 10218, Leicester, LE1 8EG

3.   By being presented in person to an Employment Tribunal Office listed in the schedule to the Practice Direction. If a claim is so presented, it must be so within tribunal business hours (9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, not including public holidays or weekends).

The Tribunal must reject a claim if it is not accompanied by the appropriate fee or a remission application.
