The Ministry of Justice have published the employment tribunal statistics for January to March 2017 which show a 4% increase in single claims received compared to the same period last year. The key statistics are as follows:
- There were 4,291 single ET claims received in January to March 2017, up 4% on the same period of 2016.
- There were 26,861 multiple claims received this quarter, an increase of 7% on the same period last year.
- 5,179 ET issue fee remissions were requested, of which 3,260 (63%) had the full issue fee paid.
- 3,316 hearing remissions were requested, of which 586 (18%) had the full hearing fee paid.
- Annual 2016/17 figures show a 1% increase in single claims and an 8% increase in multiple claims.
