The TUC have launched an online survey to expose the everyday reality of racism faced by many Black workers after racist and xenophobic attacks post-Brexit highlighted that racism is still an issue. The TUC comment that although many employers believe their diversity policies have driven overt racism out of the workplace, people’s experience of racism has become secret, as complaints are clouded in talk of confidentially and settlements are subject to a gagging clause. The TUC believe that an important step in tackling racism at work is exposing and acknowledging the experiences that people deal with every day. The information provided will be treated in confidence and the survey can be completed anonymously.
