New Compensation limits in force from 6 April 2018

The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2018 will increase employment tribunal compensation limits and minimum awards payable where the appropriate date falls on or after 6 April 2018.

The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2018 will increase employment tribunal compensation limits and minimum awards payable where the appropriate date falls on or after 6 April 2018. Among the increases: (i) the limit on the compensatory award for unfair dismissal rises to £83,682; and, (ii) the limit on a week’s pay for the purposes of calculating the unfair dismissal basic award and statutory redundancy payments goes up to £508.
