After missing the April 2019 deadline for gender pay gap reporting, six organisations failed to respond to EHRC warnings who then opened formal investigations under S. 20 of the Equality Act. As a result of the investigations, the EHRC have confirmed that all six have now reported their figures for this year and entered into formal legal agreements with the EHRC, committing to report on time for the next five years. The EHRC have also confirmed that they will now be contacting organisations that have reported implausible gender pay gap data. Any that are found to have submitted inaccurate data will be required to re-submit and could face further legal action.
